Most of the time when I do my Bible Journaling it’s because I’m reading a verse that really speaks to me and I want to highlight it, or I’m meditating on a sermon and want to document my thoughts on it, or I’m journaling out a prayer. For those times I then go in search of supplies that I think might work, that match the theme of what I’m trying to say. But occasionally it’s the other way around. Sometimes I’ve been using a particular product for something else and it strikes me that it would work perfectly in my Bible…. somewhere! That’s what happened here today. I was making some cards with this stamp set from Studio Calico when the sentiment “you lift me up” reminded me of Psalm 121, “I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.”
Just perfect for this stamp set right? I don’t think I had any choice but to put the two together for this page I’m sharing today! You can watch the video to see how it all came about.
