I was so excited about the printable in the Illustrated Faith Newsletter last week. I can’t resist an old Sunday School song, and I’ve Got the Joy, Joy, Joy, Joy (Down in my Heart) is one of my favorites!
I want to share my thought process with you. Most of the time I journal a page based on something I read in a devotional or book or something I learned in a sermon or small group. With this page, however, what I really wanted to do what use this printable in my Bible so I had to find an applicable verse. One way I like to do this is to use a Bible website – in this case biblegateway.com. I did a quick search for the words “joy heart”. One of the search results was Proverbs 17:22 “A joyful heart is good medicine…”
Goodness, is that ever true! I knew right away this was a perfect page on which to add my new printable. The best part is that now this fun, old song is stuck in my head and I get to praise the Lord all the live long day as I hum it! “I’ve got the wonderful love of my blessed redeemer way down in the depths of my heart!” Can I get an AMEN?!
