Today’s post is for all the newbies out there! I forget sometimes that not everyone has been scrapping and crafting for years! Sorry!
But I love that Bella Blvd, Illustrated Faith and Day Spring haven’t forgotten that fact and that when they put together their monthly kits you get everything you need to instantly start creating beautiful Bible-journaling and faith-journaling pages. However, if you’re new to this whole adventure you might still be wondering how to go about making the most out of the stamp set and ink pad that comes in the kit. If you’ve been asking yourself questions like “how do I use those stamps?”, “how do I clean my stamps?” and “are there any tricks to get crisp results?” then today’s video is for you.
I’m also going to take you through some basic stamping principles like the difference between ink varieties (did you know there’s a huge difference between pigment ink, dye ink and solvent ink?!) and which ones work best in your Bible. I’ll share some examples from my own journaling Bible and teach a quick and easy technique for shadow-stamping along the way.
